Soil Nail Launcher, Inc. currently is seeking qualified applicants for the following positions:

Engineering Interns

SNLI engineers all spend a portion of their training laboring with the crews in order to have a more practical understanding of design and construction constraints. We offer that same opportunity--as well as additional training in field testing and design fundamentals--to interested applicants who are enrolled in a B.S. or M.S. curriculum in Civil Engineering with a primary emphasis in Geotechnical or Structural Engineering.

Regional Sales Consultant (various locations)

Position requires continual travel, network building with local, state and federal government offices, private sector marketing, and creative new solutions for geotechnical problems. Will include project management of more complex projects.

Position requires thorough knowledge of geologic and geotechnical principles involved with landslides, retaining wall failures, use of lightweight fill, construction of reinforced soils, and basic soil nailing and tieback technologies. Of particular interest are Geotechnical Engineers who have the ability to come up with creative engineered solutions to problems rather than simply following the steps outlined in a technical manual.

Salary and benefits are negotiable with the possibility of commissions for the right person. Generous expense account.

  • Determine specific strategies in response to bids including scheduling, execution plan, and subcontractor requirements;
  • Gather, analyze, input and compile information for negotiated work;
  • Submit required information to Operations; and
  • Manage projects during critical phases.
  • Nationwide travel is required.

The following skills and qualifications are preferred:

  • Experience in an estimating role, preferably in an geotechnical construction environment;
  • Degree, diploma, or certificate in Mechanical or Civil Engineering Technology from an accredited post-secondary institution;
  • Technical training in project management, drafting and engineering design, trade certificates, and/or field experience are definite assets;
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software (MS Word and Excel) and experienced in computerized estimating systems;
  • Experience in reading plans, drawings, and specifications and translating them into cost estimates;
  • Geotechnical project execution planning and critical path scheduling;
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated, and resourceful, with strong interpersonal skills; and
    Strong time management skills, confidentiality, and professionalism.
  • Salary and benefits are negotiable with the possibility of commissions for the right person. Generous expense account.

Chief Logistician (Eastern United States)

Duties will include managing a warehouse (including inventory control, receipt of materials, and forklift operation to unload trucks and shipping containers). Work includes delivery of materials to field crews in surrounding states with trucks and gooseneck trailers and/or flatbed trucks with small cranes. Some heavy lifting will be required. Includes routine maintenance of equipment. Must have or be able to obtain a CDL license. Knowledge of computers, email, and inventory tracking using the Microsoft Office suite of applications (Word and Excel) is required. Must be able to work and make decisions without direct supervision. Training will be provided as needed to begin. Field support including hotshot runs will require availability nights and weekends. There may be occasions where short assignments on regional field crews will be required. Experience with operation, maintenance and repair of track hoes, loaders, compressors and related will be a plus. There may opportunities to advance and supervise other employees. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Benefits are available.
